About Us
St. Michael’s Conference is a 7-day gathering where an intentional community of prayer, support, and education helps to form young Christians (12-19 years old) to be witnesses to the world of the Saving Power of Jesus Christ.
St. Michael's conference began with the Eastern conference (Connecticut) in 1960! As the years went on, the Midwest (Michigan) and Southwest (Texas) Conferences were founded. 2025 will be the inaugural year for the West Coast Conference!
St. Mike's is not just any summer program
Through worship, study, discussion, recreation, and relaxation, the community seeks both a clearer vision of God in Christ and the strength and power to fight evil and serve God. For most, it is such a joyful experience that they want it to continue, and many do continue by returning year after year. St. Michael is a fitting patron saint for the conference, as he symbolizes a strong religion where true joy is to be found.
The conference has already borne much fruit in the life of the Church through the lives of those Michaelites (Conference participants) who are active in their respective parishes throughout the Anglican Church. We are committed to making the Conference available to the youth of the Western region of the United States. Our intention is not to do a “new” thing, but to faithfully hand on what has been given to us - the Catholic Faith. Our worship and practice are therefore wholeheartedly Anglo-Catholic, and our teaching orthodox.

Meet Fr. Director
Fr. Spencer Stubblefield grew up in Weatherford, Texas which is located just west of Fort Worth. He was ordained in the Diocese of Fort Worth in 2019. In 2022, Fr. Stubblefield moved to Bakersfield, CA, where he is the Assistant Rector at Trinity Anglican Church in the Diocese of San Joaquin.
St Michael's Conference Southwest was a major part of his life (and still is). When he was 14, it was at St. Mike's that he first received a call to the priesthood. Fr. Stubblefield has participated in 16 conferences since he was 12, having been a Michaelite, a counselor, and clergy. He is very excited to bring this wonderful conference to the West Coast!
